BUYERS
Digital Goods Refund Policy
Digital files can be delivered immediately and cannot be physically returned. Refunds are therefore evaluated based on the circumstances of the transaction rather than a general “return the item” process.
When a refund may be appropriate
- The purchased file is materially different from the listing description.
- The delivered file is corrupt or unusable and the issue cannot reasonably be resolved.
- A duplicate or unauthorized transaction occurred.
- SyntaxVault removes a transaction or listing because of fraud, infringement, or a serious marketplace-policy issue.
- Applicable law requires a refund.
Usually not refundable
- Changing your mind after receiving the digital asset.
- Failing to read clearly disclosed compatibility requirements or license restrictions.
- Using the asset and later deciding it does not fit a project.
- Requests intended to obtain both the asset and the purchase price without a legitimate basis.
How refunds affect licenses and creators
A full refund may terminate the buyer's license and future download entitlement where legally and technically appropriate. Associated creator proceeds may be reversed or offset. If payment-processing fees are not returned by the processor, those fees may be deducted from the creator's current or future balance when the refund is creator-responsible. SyntaxVault may absorb the processing fee when the refund results from an error or failure attributable to SyntaxVault.
Requesting review
Use the marketplace report/legal process with the transaction and listing details. SyntaxVault may request information needed to verify the claim. Chargeback rights provided by a card issuer are separate from this marketplace policy.
